Hi Guys!

How can I set my own songs as ringtones? It was very easy in Nokia handsets. You could select any song from music library and set as ringtone. But it seems like it is not as simple as that in iPhone.

Any ideas?

Tom

You need a software program to make iPhone ringtones from your MP3 songs and to transfer the ringtones into iPhone.

I use Ace Ringtones Maker for iPhone software.

It takes only one minute to make new mobile ringtones and transfer to iPhone. It supports many file formats, not just mp3. You can also apply special sound effects like fade-in, fade-out, echo and volume enhancement etc.

You can create unlimited free cell phone ring tones out of your own music library and don't have to buy anything from Apple iTunes store.

You don't need to unlock or jail-break your iPhone.

I found it very easy to use and great value for money.

You can download free trial version of Ace Ringtones Maker for iPhone
from:-

and buy the full version only if you are satisfied.

If you have a Mac, use Garage Band.  You just drag and drop any song into garage band and set your starting point, then drag that into "ringtones" in itunes.  The next time you sync your iphone it will be there.javascript:void(0)

I suggest you have a try of ImTOO Windows Mobile Ringtone Maker, with it, you can create ringtone from files of almost all video and audio formats.

Have you ever thought of customizing free ringtones for your iPhone 3G instead of purchasing them? Here is the step by step tutorial that shows how to create free ringtones for your iPhone using only iTunes (iTunes 8 ). The method only works with songs that are DRM free and has been tested and works with iTunes 8.0.1.11 and iPhone 2.0.1 firmware. It is well worth a try.
