hello i'm nicolas from australia! i have an iphone 3g locked with at&t and it was activated in the US! i wanted to make an upgrade yesterday but i pressed restore on itunes and the phone is back to UNACTIVATED status!
i've lost my at&t simcard when i moved to my other place!

you think it'll be ok to reactivate the phones on itunes if i buy a brand new at&t simcard and i insert the simcard in the iphone Huh?

you should be able to re-activate it through itunes. but if you cant just go to a att store and you should be set.

Just buy a new SIM card from AT&T (make sure it's not a Australian company, it must be at&t) then insert it, and hook your iphone into your itunes and let it re-activate, about 15-30minutes later you should have your iphone updated, new, and ready to go! Cheesy

Guys,

I'm wondering... is it possible to do this without AT&T SIM ? Because it's gonna be hard for me to get one. Perhaps using iActivator ?

After restoring the phone, it now shows my carrier logo, and the signal level is good. However it shows "Emergency call only". Your help is appreciated, I have a 600$ piece of junk now Sad
