I ordered my Iphone 3G yesterday, and I've never owned one before. I want to jailbreak it to be able to add whatever software I want, but I don't care about unlocking it to use with another carrier, although I'd like to know how just for the knowledge.

Is there an are that has posts concentrated on just jailbreaking, unlocking, where to find the software that is not apple approved, but that is out there and functional for the Iphone? If so please direct me that way, so I could start studying. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

the new 2.0 software is pretty open to apps and development

I think we are all "newbies" to the iphone 3G - maybe not the original iphone - but the iphone 3G

Hi, I just switched to the IPhone 3G from a Verizon LG - Having trouble with the WIFI - shouldn't it be available at all times? Also, has anyone got any ideas on how to remove an icon from the desktop? I added something to the desktop by mistake, and cannot remove it. Anyone else have trouble with slow keyboard while texting?

if you hold your finger down on the icon / app you want to remove it will begin to shake and an x will show up you can remove it that way
