I'm planning to buy a turbo sim for the iphone 3g and use a t-mobile sims card. Will I be able to use the 3G network or will I still be using the edge network?

no , as far as I know t-mobiles 3g network can not be reconized by the Iphone 3g..

sorry bud. BUT you can sign up for t-zones and get a preety good connection. - only 5.99 a month.
